Year 1 Confirmation SNOW retreat

On March 7th the Year 1 confirmation students came together for a retreat day. We started off in Nyon with a talk on the theme of “Who is Jesus?” led by Fr. Kevin White. We reflected on how he is represented in the Gospels and spoke about how we could develop a relationship with Him and get to know Him in a personal way. After this we celebrated a beautiful Mass together.
After a quick packed lunch, we got the train to La Givrine where we were blessed with the perfect depth of untouched snow. We played capture the flag, went sledding and made ‘saint snow sculptures’. We were sustained with hot tea and snacks and hiked back to the train station that afternoon happy and renewed by a day spent learning to love God more fully and enjoying the fellowship of church community.
