Concert for Peace
St John XXIII Parish invites you to a Concert for Peace on Tuesday 1st December at 18h30 Église Saint-Nicolas-de-Flüe, 57 rue de Montbrillant.
Friar Alessandro & Eimear Quinn will be singing!
I’m delighted to announce a very special concert for peace featuring the internationally acclaimed Irish soprano Eimear Quinn, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with The Voice, together with Friar Alessandro, the celebrated Franciscan friar and tenor from Assisi.
Eimear’s music blends classical, sacred, early-music, Irish traditional, folk, and contemporary influences. Eimear is especially noted for a clear, soaring soprano and for presenting Irish song in a classical and spiritual context.
Friar Alessandro is an Italian Franciscan friar and tenor whose pure, expressive voice has brought sacred music to audiences worldwide. Based in Assisi, he sees singing as a way of sharing the Gospel and drawing listeners closer to God. His performances of beloved works such as Panis Angelicus and Sancta Maria are celebrated for their spiritual depth and emotional power.
