Earth Day 2018

The Laudato Si Community (LSC)  lead the Parish in celebrating Earth Day this April 22 Sunday by inviting parishioners to do a lifestyle check of “Living Simply” (a lifestyle based on  simplicity, sustainability and in solidarity with the poor).  The idea of “Living Simply” took its inspiration from Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si wand was expanded by the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD). This year’s Earth Day 2018 campaign will focus on raising awareness of plastic pollution, and promoting the use of re-usable eco cups during our parish events instead of the disposable plastic cups and plastic bottled drinks. Would we, as a Parish, be willing to pledge our commitment to caring for our common home?
