Franciscans International Mass

Protecting the vulnerable, the forgotten and our wounded earth through Advocacy. There will be Mass here, to celebrate 30 years, of this important NGO’s presence in Geneva, on Saturday, 16th of March at 11h00. The Principal Celebrant will be the Papal Nuncio, with concelebrants representing Franciscans from all over the world. All are welcome. There will be a Reception after Mass, in the Parish Hall, to which you are also invited.

Global Outreach

The Parish’s Global Outreach Committee (GO) sponsors projects (of modest amounts) for the promotion of education and formation in developing countries.  Application forms may be obtained from the Parish Office, or click  here.  All applications must be endorsed by a registered parishioner of St John XXIII, and will be considered and evaluated according to the GO Guidelines. There will be an Easter egg hunt on  Easter Sunday following the 11:30 mass for children ages 2-10, hosted by the youth. There will be sweets, small toys, and prizes to be won. Places are limited, so please email Emily at youth@johnxxiii.ch to reserve your child’s place or to volunteer.

Living Stations of the Cross

There will be a Living Stations of the Cross event presented by the youth of our parish on Friday, 12 April at 19:00. Please join us to commemorate the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ with music, reflections and dramatisation. Please email Emily at youth@johnxxiii.ch if your child would like to be involved (ages 12+) or if you are able to help out. Our first rehearsal will be on Sunday, 24 March at 12:30.

Cursillo

There will be a meeting on Wednesday 13 March, 2019 from 19.30 to 21.30, at St John XXIII Parish where Ms Huda M. Abuarquob, Regional Director, Alliance for Middle East Peace and Stephanie Saldaña, an acclaimed author and Founder of The Mosaic Stories Project, will share with us peace initiatives that they are involved with in the Holy Land and how they are working together to overcome barriers and build bridges of hope!  For more details please see the pamphlet at the back of the church.
